Bhog in the Hindu & Sikh religion is the food offered to the deities and later on consumed by the worshippers in smaller portions as prasadam. Bhog is commonly distributed in major festivals and other community worshipping events. Apart from individual households offerings one can observe this ritual commonly in large temple complexes. The most common form of bhog is in the form of khichdi, a dish made of rice, pulses and vegetables and also kheer, which is a rice pudding.
